The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has assured the children of the state, that his administration, will never desist from making investments in education, as well as social services, all towards efforts of giving them a better an brighter future.

To mark this year’s annual celebration of Children’s Day, Governor Wike gave a message, saying his administration will remain committed to providing a secure environment and atmosphere of peace, hope and love in the state.

Wike noted, that in collaboration with his commitment to quality education for children and youths, his administration has also began the phased rehabilitation of prominent secondary schools in all three senatorial districts of Rivers State, with the aim of introducing boarding school system of education.

In addition to this, Wike added that his administration flagged off the construction of the Port-Harcourt Pleasure Park, in order to create a recreational arena for Rivers children and their families, which should be the first of its kind in the states’ history.
Like called on all children in the state to anticipate a brighter future as his administration is persistent on being committed to their welfare, security and upbringing.
