The members of the House of Representatives Committee on Tertiary Education and services, have called on the Federal Government, to revoke its sack of the Vice Chancellor of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Vincent Tenebe.

It was made known by the lawmakers, that since Tenebe was already halfway into his two0yea extensions, which was granted to him by the Governing Council of the university and also approved by former President Goodluck Jonathan, the Federal Government, will not be at risk of losing anything, if they should let him complete his tenure, which has only one year left to it.

This appeal was made by the members, during a dialogue session with representatives of the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, on the topic of the job termination of 13 vice-chancellors of federal universities by the Federal Government in February, 2016.
