Born on October 9, 1992, Youths’ Digest Associate Editor Adnan Mukhtar Adam Turns 24 today.
In his birthday message, the Youth Activist wrote: ”On the occasion of my birthday, I am short of words to express how grateful I am to my creator, I Thank God for everything, for he has setin me a bright future.
”I lost my late father when I was just 6 months, my father died at a very young age, at a time he became a pillar of support to his aged mother and family.
”Having grown up as an orphan, my beloved mother took the challenge of educating us, she make sure that we got sound and qualitative education, it is in my mother that I forsee the important and value of girl child education, she was a classroom teacher, before she rose to the position of a principal.
”On this great day of mine, I urge all parents/Guardians to ensure that their children/Wards are giving proper upbringing and qualitative education, if not because of the help of God, the education my mother had, my life would have been different, I could not have been impacting meaningfully on the life of others, may be I couldn’t have been who I am today. This is why I am supporting and will continue to advocate for girl child education, when you educate a woman, you educate a society.
”On my father’s side, though I didn’t come to know him, i came across many of his legacies, I can assure and Re assure you that he is my role model, at his very young age, he was a whizz writer, broadcast journalist and a columnist with Sunday triumph literary corner. He became a lawyer at 26, Perhaps, he was a student leader having served Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as Speaker of the SRC and also as secretary general of the SUG between 1979/1980. He lived a life worthy of emulation, he is my role model and is the person I am following his footsteps so as to be successful in life.
”I want to be remembered like my father, his life has been helpful to humanity, I will continue to serve humanity to the end of my life, I will continue to fight injustice, advocate for social justice, good governance and youth inclusion in politics.
I wish all my youthful friends and my fellow Nigerians can join me in this erroneous task, it is possible and we can make it insha Allah.
”Thank you for rejoicing with me…
From all of us at Youths’ Digest we say “Happy birthday to you, we wish you many more years of joy, love, laughter, health and prosperity. We wish you strength and wisdom for days to come and success with everything you do today and tomorrow.
