Well, he is arguably South Africa’s most prized possession at the moment! Trevor Noah has officially been named as one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2018.

TIME officially revealed the list to the world on Thursday evening. For South Africans, it’s great news to wake up to on Friday and kick-start your weekend. Trevor really should inspire each and every one of us.

The list is divided into four groups, pioneers, artists, leaders and icons. To make things even more exciting, the magazine paired up famous contributors to write about each person who made the list.

For Noah, it was Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’ o, who will soon be playing his young mother in a film version of his book, Born a Crime.

Other noteworthy inclusions on the list include tennis star Roger Federer, comedian Tiffany Hadish, actress/musician Jennifer Lopez and 2018’s global superstar, Cardi B. Yes, Trevor! Keep killing the game. SA is always right behind you.
