A Kado Grade I Area Court, Abuja, on Friday, ordered that a 27-year-old applicant, Ishaya Dauda, be remanded in prison custody for allegedly stealing electronics valued at N200,000.
The Judge, Yahaya Sheshe, adjourned the case until April 25, for hearing.
The police charged Dauda, whose address was provided, with criminal trespass and theft.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Zeera Doglas, told the court that one Omakwu Armstrong, of Big “H” Garden in Utako Abuja, reported the matter at the Utako Police Station, on April 4.
The prosecutor said on that date the defendant criminally trespassed into the garden and stole an LG television set, Gotv decoder, Binatone stabiliser and fan, valued at N200, 000.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 348 and 288 of the Penal Code. (NAN)
